Proper treatment of animals is one of our basic priorities. This means sustaining our focus on caring for their health through proper feeding, breeding and transportation to our plants. Maintenance of these conditions leads to a higher-quality, greater-value finished product.
All Animex Foods plants have livestock management systems that conform to the EU 2001/88/EC Directive. All Animex Foods livestock suppliers are required to abide by it.
Every plant has an employee responsible for animal welfare who reports directly to the plant’s Managing Director on a daily basis. This person supervises, monitors and documents all aspects of the operation related to the animals’ welfare.
All haulers and suppliers transporting animals to Animex Foods plants must have training approved and licenses issued by Veterinary Inspection.
